Our Youth Group members helped out at the One Community Walk on 25th July 2010 at Radin Mas.

The starting point was Gan Eng Seng Primary School and the ending point was Bukit Merah Community Centre.

Class Content
The course gives children not only an early start in the learning of colours, shapes and lines but also the opportunity to socialise with their peers. Besides drawing and colouring, they are encouraged to talk about their daily life experiences to help them generate more ideas for their drawings.

People’s Association (PA) will hold a Grassroots Convention this Saturday, 3 July 2010, in commemoration of PA’s 50th Anniversary and PA Day (1 July 2010). About 5,000 grassroots leaders and Advisers will gather to reaffirm their commitment in realising the Vision for the Community, and present the Community 2015 Work Plan, which comprises all the 84 constituency work plans, to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Class Content
The course in conversational Mandarin aims at acquainting participants with the basic vocabulary used in daily conversations. A vocabulary of between 300 and 500 common characters will be taught during the course. The focus is on correct usage of words and grammar in daily conversations.

Bukit Merah CC and Radin Mas CC YECs had a Tea Session with Radin Mas Grassroot Organizations on 13th June 2010 at Radin Mas CC Conference. The Guest of Honor was Mr Sam Tan, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts; Adviser to Tanjong Pagar GRC Grassroots Organisations.

Class Content
This course focuses on building the students’ ability to recognise phonics (sounds of alphabets) and on the association of phonics with words and phrases. Students will be taught the basics of phonics and they will be guided to read passages and stories.
